Terry, John and I have been taking an annual 'three men in a boat' trip on John's boat Wolf since 2007. This year's trip started as usual at Henhull, near Nantwich and the plan was to up to Goldstone Wharf on the Shropshire Union Canal (Birmingham and Liverpool Junction Canal - Main Line) near to Market Drayton and hopefully meet up with Tom and Pat, Nigel and Annette and maybe their boat Anni.
The weather was what we Cheshire folk call 'mukky', so not many bright and shiny pics.
Next day we met up with nb Alchemist, heading in the opposite direction and stopped for a 'gam', [Melville, in 'Moby Dick' claims this to be a phenomena restricted to whale boats but it happens on the canals too, its just a chat between captains and fraternisation with the crew of another boat]. John and Pam would be cruising with them later. This crew member was too busy holding Wolf against the wind to take pics.
