Kington sunshine walks

A rather dull 2 January

  The starting point, the back of the house and garden.

This is the first of my monthly sunshine walk posts and I am afraid that it is going to repeat some of the pics you have already seen but will include lots of new ones. The pics were all taken over several days in January and one might wonder where the sun has gone in some of them.

  The next few pics follow a twisting path leading into the High Street

  

  

  

  Out onto the High Street.

  A little further up Church Street and we reach The Square.

  

  

  Our path turns right at the top of the hill in front of the water tower.

  On our right the narrow entrance to the path down to the Back Brook

  We join the path of the old tramway.

  This time we are taking another diversion away from the 'official' route. Up the hill towards the town leaving the tramway

  Looking back. I wonder why this is called Bradnor View.

  This brings us out at the other end of the square we saw earlier.

  The Square.

  Start of another winding route, roughly parallel to the High Street

  Plenty of other options

  but we will stay with the main route this time

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  and it drops us nicely onto Duke Street

  and home

It was a bit brighter later in the month AND I cleaned the camera lens
This time we started with a diversion up Husseys Lane off Church Street just before we reach The Square

  Up it goes and then down again

  

  Leading us back onto the High Street and Bopsoms Emporium.

  The Square, this time in bright sunshine.

  Instead of turning by the water tower, we take the narrow footpath before it.

  

  

  

  More choice but we take the route to the left

  

  This drops us back onto the Tramway

  

  

  

Another diversion, this time over the top and down into Bridge Street.

  Home in the sunshine.

A few days later and the plan is to finish off the tramway along the Back Brook. This bit of the route is far too gloomy on a dull day
