When I am old I shall wear purple . This is the LoM's new [purple] website and it is to be hoped that over the coming months it will begin to look like his old website [cribbit.net] which was completely lost by his previous webhost.
Other reasons for the change are that  narrow boat Cribbit is now up for sale and    so is her owner after his final divorce which makes much of its original content irrelevant.
Even the LoM can see that this colour won't do for a lot of text so something a little more restful is required.

The plan is to start uploading old cribbit.net files as time, inclination AND REQUESTS permit.
I'm going to start with files in the 'latest posts' section and will limit these to the post lockdown period.
Not much hope of making random oldies work just yet as some of those go back a long way to when the site was steam powered but what I might do is limit these to ones that I have resuscitated [ie none as of now].

There has been a bit of an hiatus in bringing up littleoldmanweekly mostly due to inertia but also a struggle to get my ftp client of choice filezilla to perform. Hard to say what the problem was but when I copy and paste its password it works, when i type it in manually it doesn't!

When we lived in Oakley, a person said to me, when I had shared a link to cribbit.net, that she had never seen such a collection of horrible recipes in her life. So what do you think the first files are that I have actively uploaded. [Cooking on cribbit]

I have now uploaded 'most' of what used to be on cribbit.net but there are bound to be bits missing, some deliberately ... I would be very grateful for feedback when you find missing bits, especially photographs ... many of the links to external sites won't work because they are no more after 15 years ... sometimes replacing http: with https: in the address bar will get you to their new instances some have just closed down ... the same has happened to many of the pubs!
